2025 NFL Season Wks 6 - 9
Week 7 for most teams started off with a bang with Joe Flacco leading the Bengals to an upset win over the Steelers. Mike Tomlin stated before the game he didnt understand the mentality of the Brown's brass for trading him to a divisional opponent and no wonder, Flacco has now, a winning record leading teams against the Steelers and has beaten them two years in a row. Can the team continue to rally behind him till Burrow gets healthy?
--Can the Eagles get back to winning after losing to a Giants team without Nabers and lead by a rookie QB? Barkley is due for a big game and can their defense get back on track against Carson Wentz and the Vikings?
--Can Buffalo get back to winning after tackling sloppily against Atlanta? They only have Vrabel and the Patriots to worry about, and Vrabel wants to hand it to the Titans on sunday with an interim coach. A Titans upset could help the Bills, who have a bye.
--The Chargers also welcome more defensive players off IR, as they try to continue winning as well. Big game against a hot Colts team who keeps running the ball well.
--Rams and Jaguars have a big matchup as well. Can the Rams run more without Nacua?
--Forty Niners also get a boost with George Kittle coming back but Atlanta wants to follow up a big win at home against Buffalo.

The Patriots’ weak schedule is going to fool many into thinking Drake Maye is actually good

Easy win for the Patriots as the Titans led for most of the first half. I didnt agree with them running out the half without trying to get in FG position. With Ward's huge fumble in the second half, it was over quickly.
Ugly losses for the Raiders, Dolphins, Jags and Jets.
I won money as an interception return TD against Wentz was the difference in the Philly win. The Vikes had a chance to score a TD near the end but went backwards and kicked a FG. The Vikes also got a TD where the ball barely--if at all--crossed the goalline.

What a crazy ending in Denver ... who would have thought Bo Nix would lead a comeback win after trailing 26-8 with 5:15 left ?
The Giants collapsed, but Dart got a TD after a bad pass interference call on an under-thrown ball. Instead of winning, the Giants give up a last second FG drive in 35 seconds.*
Edited* ... The Broncos win was only the second since 2000, where a team erased an 18 point deficit or more in the final six minutes, since the Colts with Manning defeated the Bucs in 2003.
How long will Daniels be out for Washington? Another big win for the Colts.

Have to feel bad for Mike Evans tonight as he broke his clavicle and wont get to break the record with 12 straight 1000 yard seasons. If the Bucs can make the postseason, he might have a chance to contribute.
Former Buccaneer, Doug Martin, died in Oakland police custody after breaking into a neighbor's home. His family stated he suffered from mental problems--CTE?--and died at the age of 36.

I can understand the Chargers dominating the game and time of possession tonight but what kind of gameplan was that for the Vikings? Did they lay down on both sides of the ball? Wentz is already hurt and getting hit like a pinata, but 11 carries for the runners? Great receivers or not, Hockensen still isnt getting enough targets in the offense. Haha ... maybe I should bet and take them to rebound their next game?

Thought both sides of the ball would have more last night. Vikings had the non-pick six and after that seemed game over for the defense. Offense, Jones back, get him involved early, nope, Wentz throws it behind him and the offense was essentially nothing from the jump. Spent the rest of the game with LAC moving the ball fairly easily and Wentz throwing 5 yards wide of his intended target while getting beat up, with the alluded to refusal of MIN to run the ball.Brian wolf wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 1:16 am I can understand the Chargers dominating the game and time of possession tonight but what kind of gameplan was that for the Vikings? Bengals defense was horrible as the Jets came back to win, down
31-16. Both teams couldnt stop the run. The Dolphins and Ravens finally got wins as well. Barkley for the Eagles finally broke out but an unfortunate injury for Skattebo ...
--Jonathan Taylor having another huge game. About to pass Edjerrin James for alltime rushing TDs with the Colts in only six seasons.
--Looked like the Falcons layed down against the Dolphins as the team keeps going up and down. Nothing major out of Cousins.
--Browns continue to waste the career of Myles Garrett, who had 5 sacks in a blowout loss. Will he retire a Brown?

Garrett looks to be the Browns defense version of Joe Thomas!
The 6-1 Colts...are they a 'paper tiger'? #22 defense thus far but that's about the only blemish. They're a net plus-point-9 in Y/A, #2 in points scored, #1 offense overall though, yeah, just at #10 in rushing Y/A, but #1 in rushing TDs, and they got the quality-wins over Denver and the Chargers and, let's face it, that one loss to the Rams was because of a premature celebration. So ARE they #1 in the AFC? As I said before the season began, until the Chiefs either don't make the playoffs or get eliminated in those conference playoffs...but Indy looking real stout just the same at this almost halfway point. NOT a paper tiger with me.
Is it just my imagination, or did the Ravens actually just win the division this week? Sure feels like it!

Considering how weak the North is and how relatively easy the Ravens' schedule now becomes, it's not at all hard to imagine them bouncing back from 1-5 to win their division.
