Special teams isn't a "position". Tasker should be listed as a wide receiver, which is what he was.
Tasker is the Tony Fossas of football. That might be worth a PFHOF selection.

1. He had a career that was hampered by health issues including a bleeding ulcer and leg injuries that caused him to miss games between 1964-67

2. He Had those five peak seasons and the limited number of those seasons has really hurt his case

I get your points Robert, I really do, but despite the injuries, Shofner was still 15th all-time in receiving yards, and 18th in receiving TDs when he retired. Only six guys ahead of him had more without making the HOF and they didnt have the All-Pro nominations he had. Also the championship games.

He isnt going to be elected and neither is fellow teammates, Jimmy Patton or Jim Katcavage ... just too many Giants elected from that era.

I will be a satisfied pup if Dilweg can leap-frog over Isbell to make the Final 9 but they will cancel each other out. I dont get who keeps choosing this guy?

Fair enough brian i can see your side to on shofner glad we can have a civil conversation without arguing in terms of my final 9 honestly havent a clue who i would pick, in terms of why they keep choosing isbell over deserving seniors like Howton Shofner Gary Collins honestly i have no clue as to why

We always have civil discussions Robert ... My Final 9 dont have a snowballs chance in hell, but we did have more of a shake-up than I thought ... it seems the committee wants to try to get it right on a more recent senior but dropped the ball omitting Lester Hayes. Kuechenberg went through this as well, three years, ago I think.

Keep in mind that this year, the makeups of the three committees are different, so you will see different results. The hall randomly picked half of the main committee and spread them out over the three committees. The remaining half will be on the committees next year.

For example, John McLain and I are the only members of the Contributors committee remaining from last year. Everyone else is new.

Thanks Ken ... in a nutshell, any word on why Lester Hayes was dropped, or just different member, subjectivity?
