Class Of 2026 Coaching Candidates

Post by Brian wolf »

Belichick should be the favorite this year.

Still hoping Parker can advance and get his chance.

If not this year, maybe Holmgren or Shanahan next year.

Three great assistants are also on the list ... Arnsparger, Gibbs and Shaughnessy.

Some people also like Reeves or Coughlin, but they will wait this year.

Interesting reading about HC's with at least one championship.
Certainly, Shaw, Collier and Howell were successful going to multiple championship games but was also reading about Adam Walsh, who coached the last rookie QB in Waterfield, to lead his team to a championship in 1945 with the Cleveland Rams.

Despite another winning season for the LA Rams in 1946, with Eddie Kotal adding black players to the club, Walsh was gone for 1947. Was he fired, or wanted to go back to college coaching with Bowdoin College?

Thanks Robert ... just another dumb move by Rams' owner Dan Reeves, who went through coaches like underwear

Really need Clark Shaughnessy to be on the contributor list, not the coaching list.

And as much as I appreciate / celebrate assistant coaches, if they're on the list, then I think voters should be able to account for assistant tenures for head coaching candidates.

Don't get your hopes up this year for anyone other than Bill Belichick. He will most certainly be the choice.
