Five QBs from one school in the NFL at the same time
Five QBs from one school in the NFL at the same time
From 1992-94 the ranks of active NFL quarterbacks featured these University of Maryland alumni:
Boomer Esiason, with the Bengals in 1992 and then the Jets for 1993-94
Neil O'Donnell, with the Steelers that whole time
Frank Reich, with the Bills
Scott Zolak, with the Patriots
Stan Gelbaugh, with Seattle
Granted, Gelbaugh and Zolak didn't have very extensive careers, but the other three did. Esiason and O'Donnell both started for Super Bowl teams, and Reich played in the big game more than once.
The question is, can any other school match that? Maryland's not exactly a football factory, but five guys in the league at once is a lot, and I can't think of any other quintets to match them off the top of my head. Can any of you guys?

Alabama has five in the NFL right now -- four who have started this season, all five have appeared in games through the first 4 weeks of the season.

Ah, that's a good group. Not surprisingly, I had no idea about them. If they'd been playing in the 1950s or '60s, though, then I might have thought of them.

In 2017, Southern California had:

And in 2018 came Sam Darnold, but Carson Palmer retired.

Regarding the University of Maryland during that stretch, their one starting quarterback who did not play professional football was Dan Henning, whose father coached the Falcons and Chargers.
