Jimmy Hill played in the NFL for 11 years but beyond the fact he played high school football at Booker T. Washington in Dallas in 1946 the rest of his "biographical" story is really a mystery.
First, his college is always listed as Sam Houston State and that he played there in the late 1940s or so. There are two major problems with this:
1) He is not listed on the school's all-time letterwinners.
2) Hill was Black and Sam Houston State was not desegregated until 1964.
Second, his birth and death dates are a mystery. He allegedly died on 8/29/2006 in Missouri but I can't find an obit for him in that year or any other), which is odd considering his long NFL career.
