Winning for the Steelers will seal the deal but if he were to keep regressing, similar to Eli Manning, he may not get voted in. Is his heart for the game still there? A bad year could make any team wonder ...
Not to judge a season on one performance, but Russell Wilson's performance today doesn't look very promising for him going forward as far as adding to his resume.

True, but in Wilson's defense he also had no running game and no one making catches other than Nabers. Still, you wonder how long it will be before the team switches to Dart?

The 2013 playoffs had a theme for the Falcons.

In the Divisional round against Seattle, Atlanta held a 20-0 lead at halftime, and still led by 20 with about 13 minutes left to play. Seattle scored three touchdowns in the 4th quarter to take a 28-27 lead with about 30 seconds left. Ryan had gone 2-5 for 3 yards with an interception in the 4th quarter, but he came alive on the final drive. He completed back to back 20(ish) yard passes to set up a game winning FG. Atlanta moved on with a 30-27 win.

Then in the NFC Championship Game, they had a 17-0 leadon the first play of the 2nd quarter. I remember thinking "We just saw this last week. I wonder if SF will come back." They did, and took the lead in the middle of the 4th quarter. Ryan led a long, methodical drive that took 7 minutes off the clock, but fizzled at the 10 yard line.

Could Matt Ryan be seen as "Hall of Very Good" down the line?

I always thought that former Titans RB Chris Johnson was a prototypical HOVG player. One monster season in 2009 sandwiched between two Pro Bowl years, three more good years, and then four uneventful years with other teams.

Yes, but he won't be eligible for over 20 years.
