I'm looking at an interesting stat of players in NFL history with at least 17.5 sacks in back to back seasons...it lists:
Gastineau
Reggie White
JJ Watt
Trey Hendrickson (!)
I'm assuming these are all post 'official sack' statistic...are there any pre-1982 players with at least 17.5 in back to back seasons?
Unofficial players with at least 17.5 sacks in consecutive seasons?
Re: Unofficial players with at least 17.5 sacks in consecutive seasons?
Looks like only one player did it between 1960-1981, and he did it twice! (4 times in 5 years, with a "gap" in Year 3.)Bryan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:25 pm I'm looking at an interesting stat of players in NFL history with at least 17.5 sacks in back to back seasons...it lists:

For those that want to confirm a relatively easy guess

Whats ur opinion of the Eagles run, Bryan? Were you disappointed that the Chiefs couldnt three-peat? Whats ur take on this season as a whole?
Hendrickson has the great two year run, but because his team doesnt win, and his name isnt Garrett or Watt, he doesnt win DPOY ...
