That man is going to be our first ever offensive HOFer and we want him to retire here. He turned down a fat stack from the Chiefs to stay, loyalty has to go both ways. Always feels good to stick a dagger in the Aints' heart too, they were definitely not laying down for him, they have no love for Mike Evans. A play for pride sometimes matters as much as a play to decide a game, and no one on either side wasn't playing hard on this one. Every player on that defense wanted to be the guy who broke Mike's streak, although if they stopped him, we probably would've spiked the ball to get him another 1-2 yards. Btw, he's done this kind of thing multiple times before. This isn't even his career low in yards; he's had a 1001-yard season, and also a 1006-yard season. It's his 5th under 1100.

This thread appears to mainly be about someone else, though, who has an ironman streak. Who is it? I have no idea.
The thread was based on Josh Allen.

The first two Bills offensive plays on Sunday-
Buffalo Bills at 13:25
1-10-BUF 46 (13:25) (Shotgun) J.Cook left guard to 50 for 4 yards (D.Godchaux, D.Wise).
2-6-50 (12:51) BUF 11-M.Trubisky in at QB. (Shotgun) M.Trubisky pass short left to C.Samuel to NE 45 for 5 yards (M.Mapu).

I didn't have an issue with the Evans play. He would have eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark weeks ago if not for an injury.
OK.

At least Josh Allen has a streak for us to discuss, in an age where players are in and out of line-ups. Buffalo fans have to be thankful they have a good enough record to where he can come into a game, take a snap and watch from the sideline. Since Biscuit came in and actually lost the game, Allen gets credit for the loss, which is even more lame ...

Jim Marshall in his last two seasons was pulled after one or two defensive series and replaced with Randy Holloway.

While not a streak, I remember a MNF between the Cowboys and Titans, when Tennessee was winning handily and when they were again close for a touchdown, they tried to throw a TD to perpetual Pro Bowl and future HOF guard Bruce Matthews, who wasn’t close to catch it and looked bad for once in his stellar career.

If Josh Allen can start his next 51 games--three seasons--he will pass Matt Ryan for 5th all-time in consecutive starts for a QB with 156. The other four QBs ahead of him(Favre, Rivers, Eli and Peyton Manning) all had over 200 consecutive starts.

To be completely honest, I think sitting starters in W18 is way lamer than letting one take the first snap for a streak. It completely screws up playoff scenarios. It should be punished with draft pick deduction. Justice for Burrow, may he brutalize the Chiefs unrecognizably next year. 555 yards and 8 TDs with the last one being a fake kneeldown pass to take the records.
