It seems odd to call Jordan Love a game manager. Goes off for 300/3 pretty often, with a mid completion percentage and high turnover rate. Definitely carries the team in some games and loses it in others. Besides Mahomes, if you want a guy who never seems to be the reason his team wins or loses, CJ Stroud has been that this year. He hasn't gotten in the way.

Yeah, Love is tied for the league lead in completions of 40+ yards. Game managers don't do that.

What I've seen of Love - he's a solid game manager. Had only a 1.9 pick pct last year - this year - only 2 games with more than 1 pick. You can have a game manager complete long passes -- especially in this era. Again, that's my opinion, and like I stated - per what I understand a game manager to be, Love is pretty good in that role. Sticks to what appears to be the game plan and heavily relies on it. Maybe your perception of him is different. Comparing him to Phil Simms is no slight - Love is better than the average QB at what he does. I would take him over several of the flashier QBs in the NFL right now.

I wouldn't call Love a game manager. Though, I would not call him "elite" either. This season, Green Bay is 1-4 against teams with winning record. The only team they defeated is Houston.

The Packers beat the Niners as well, who still have more talent than they do. Yes, Purdy didnt play but the backup Allen beat out Dobbs for the job. Dobbs I felt, was better athletically. Doesnt count for much but people forget the players SF still has.
