If it was Tunnell, Motley, and Willis, then it would also have to be Horace Gillom and Emerson Cole who played for the Browns as well.
And Len Ford.

So, to sum up....Tunnell for NYG and Motley, Gillom, Willis, Cole, and Ford for Browns. Somebody might do a Coffin Corner article on it.

I forgot about Ford, but I believe that he was injured in the playoff game and did not play. Ford was slugged by Pat Harder in a game against the Chicago Cardinals and suffered a broken jaw. He did not play again until the championship game against the Rams.

Yep, you're right. Ford missed the NY game, came back to play vs Rams.

Isn't it Tank Younger in the 49 NFL championship of Eagles-Rams?

Hey, I believe you're right. How did we all overlook that? For some reason I had him as a rookie in 1950.

Here's Tank in the 1949 title game.

Dan Towler must have come along in 1950.

I felt Towler was the better runner over Younger, but Younger as a great linebacker, helped make him a first time senior semifinalist today ... great news for his family, if he can stay in the queue.
