And do you honestly think the 'gangsters' used Hapes' and Filchock's names when placing bets? If so, wouldn't that have possibly raised eyebrows? I don't understand how any of it would be evidence that the 1946 championship game was fixed.

Yes it would have raised eyebrows but "In their name" doesn't necessarily mean they used their name. Like I said, the thought process isn't there on this subject. You only see one result and cannot fathom other options.
