You hear about this in baseball once in a while: A guy is traded, then he immediately faces his former club. This has even happened between games of doubleheaders.
Because of the relative rarity of in-season trades, and the fear of letting any team intelligence escape to your next opponent, this has very seldom happened in the NFL. In the 15 years I researched (credit to https://www.prosportstransactions.com), I only found found a few examples:
9-16-68: Phil Sobocinski from the Colts to the Falcons (uncertain if he played)
9-27-71: Ron Gardin from the Colts to the Patriots
10-24-72: Paul Robinson and Fred Willis to the Oilers, Charlie Joiner and Ron Pritchard (didn't play) to the Bengals
10-22-74: Craig Morton from the Cowboys to the Giants
This doesn't take into account waiver pickups. There are probably other examples; chime in if you know of any.

Jim Lachey doesn't quite qualify but close enough to type out a response I guess. Off-season from SD to Oakland, week 1 matchup. Promptly gets shipped again. Ends up with a Ring out of the musical chairs.

Similar to Lachey in that it doesn't qualify... Lawyer Milloy was released by the Patriots in final roster cut downs the week before week 1 in 2003. The Bills immediately scoop him up and he starts in week 1 against his former team.
