Yeah, I probably would have inverted the order because of Reasons' fake punt in the 90 NFC Championship game, or would have had it Johnson-Reasons-Pierce because the first two guys contributed to two SB winners.

Hostetler was 16-9 in the regular season for the Giants...I get the 1990 postseason run but there isn't much more meat on the bone. It would be like ranking Nick Foles in the top 50 Eagles of all-time.

I was wondering if Ron Johnson would make the list. I actually thought his career was longer, but he only had two really good seasons and a third productive seasons....and then he was basically used up. He got a ton of carries his last two years at U of Michigan, then in 1970 leads the NFL in touches, gets hurt in 71, and comes back to lead the NFL in touches again in 1972. Quite the workhorse.

As a Jets fan I have weirdly spent most of my life defending Eli Manning to other Giants fans and telling them "You don't know how good you have it!!!"

Yeah, just playing in a Super Bowl once is something 99.9% of people and probably 90% of players never experience. But you get there twice, win both times, and are voted the game's MVP each time. That's about as an exclusive a club that a guy can belong to.

I was thinking/dreading that, also.

Mel Hein and Lawrence Taylor have (?) to be 1 A and 1 B and after that... they'll probably make the above decision.
And Michael Strahan 4th? Sigh.

I wonder how they'll rank Gifford, Huff, Friedman, et al who played before the Super Bowl era.
Also Ken Strong, Rosey Brown and Andy Robustelli... that might be the top 10.

Yes, Robustelli starred with the Rams first, but the Giants defense became great as soon as he joined them in 1956. He had to have easily had over 100 sacks based upon his numbers from the 1960s.
