John Dutton, Bubba Baker, Sean Jones

These three guys were tall (6''7) and excellent pass rushers. But how good were they against the run?

I remember Dutton and Jones being solid against the run, although Dutton might have been a tad bit overrated. Jones was really good for the Packers at the end of his career, and was remarkably durable.

Bubba Baker spent part of his career as a pass-rush specialist, so just from that alone I don't think he's on the same level as Dutton and Jones in terms of run support. The intel on Baker was similar to Coy Bacon...if he got a sack early in the game, he would be tough to deal with. But if you stopped him early, he would lose interest. That said, when Baker was more of a full-time DE on the Lions, they did have a stretch from 1980-1982 where they ranked 1st, 1st, and 4th against the run. So he couldn't have been that much of a liability, at least early in his career.

Jones was the best of those three, Dutton was better as a DT in Dallas vs run. Baker never cared much about it, but early he played on Lions and Cards who were good against the run, he didn't play it, he made plays for losses while rushing the passer, all three were get up the field rushers, who played the run when it showed.
