Who's better and why?

Different eras but Hostetler had the more impressive feat in winning the SB with the starter down. Other than Bavaro, with Anderson and Meggett helping, no other big time stars on offense. Foles did a great job but had more starting experience than Hoss coming off the bench. He also had a more talented offensive team to work with than Hostetler. Foles was lucky to play home games in the postseason and should have matched up with Drew Brees and the Saints in the NFC Championship game but the Saints defense gave the game to Minnesota. Hoss kept the mistakes to a minimum against a hostile crowd in the Stick before playing an excellent, poised SB.

Career, Hostetler. SB run, Foles. Hostetler was really only okay against the 49ers, defense and running game won that. Better against the Bills, but again the running game was doing a lot of heavy lifting for the Giants. Foles carried more of the team.
