Basically, who's the best-ever Ravens team that wasn't 2000?
The 2006 installment went 13-3, but did beat the top-seed Chargers early on who themselves finished 14-2. And those '06 Ravens finished #1 in defense.
And 2019 put up some Historic stats with their run-game! Didn't beat eventual-Champs, KC, but finished with the best record in the league at 14-2. #4 defense, #2 offense (but just 27th in passing yards).
Of course both teams actually went one-and-done in the playoffs.
Lewis/Suggs' installment or Lamar/Harbaugh's? And remember, Steve McNair was at QB for the former.
Better Ravens team, 2006 or 2019?

2019
They beat 5 playoff teams (Bills, Patriots, Texans, 49ers, Seahawks) and a defending NFC champion Rams team that finished with a winning record
Throw in 8-8 Pittsburgh and 8 of their 14 wins were against teams .500 or better

The 2012 Ravens were the best team in their history IMO, slightly over the 2000 team, though they should have lost to Manning and the Broncos in the playoffs. Some people believe that game was fixed due to Denver allowing a long TD pass with pitiful coverage in the final minutes but the Ravens got it done with Flacco having a great postseason. Maybe their 2011 season was better but they let the AFC Championship slip through Lee Evans fingers and didnt have a letdown the following year with them easily beating the Patriots before holding on against SF in the SB.
The 2006 squad was better than the 2019 squad when defenses could get away with more intense, physical play. Both teams had letdowns in the postseason but the Colts were fired up and ready to play in that rocking stadium in Baltimore that day. One of Peyton Mannings biggest wins as a pro.
