Hi Guys!
A guy who lives in my apartment complex told me earlier today that his father was in attendance at the Ice Bowl on 12-31-1967. Now remember, those were the days when you could sneak practically anything into NFL stadiums. He told me that the people sitting right in front of his father brought in a small metal bucket with hot and smoking charcoal briquets. The heat from those briquets wafted through the air, giving at least some semblance of warmth to a couple of seating rows at Lambeau Field. I never heard that story before.
Happy Easter!

Ice Bowl Story I've Never Heard Before
Re: Ice Bowl Story I've Never Heard Before
Cool! I seem to recall the late Tim Russert in the brilliant 75 Seasons documentary talking about the old rockpile (War Memorial Stadium) in Buffalo and how people used to do the same thing there during games. Just haul in charcoal grills and have them going right there in the concourses.
