Hey Guys!
Mercury Morris ran for a 70-yard touchdown on 9-30-1973. To the best of your knowledge, was that his longest touchdown run ever? Also, was that his longest run ever? Thanks for your information!
Sincerely,

Re: Mercury's Longest Run
According to Pro Football Reference.com, 70 yds was his longest run and longest TD run. Joe, you do know that some of the questions you're asking are easily found on that site, right?

Re: Mercury's Longest Run
Joe, there's a link on each player's page that gives details of every TD scored---distance, date, opponent, whether it was a run, reception, or return. Same is true for TD passes by a player. Great resource. Also game logs for each player.
Re: Mercury's Longest Run
Not sure how you couldn't find the answers. I went to his main page, and it shows the longest run for each season. It's apparent that the longest run of his career was 70 yards, in 1973. Additional links are available to go game by game to confirm that Morris didn't actually have 2 different 70 yards runs in 1973JoeZagorski wrote:I looked on Pro Football Reference, but I couldn't find the answers.

You can go to Pro Football Reference and find the longest run, season or career, for Ollie Matson, Joe Perry, Hugh McElhenny, Dick Bass, Jon Arnett, Willie Galimore, anyone you want.
