Lions @ Packers tonight

Post by RichardBak »

I'm looking for a shootout, somewhere along the lines of 41-38 or 38-35. The Lions, now eliminated, are playing for pride, a winning record, and the chance to knock off the Pack in prime time in the NFL regular season finale. A tall order since Detroit has dropped 27 of its last 30 games at Lambeau. But I think it's gonna be entertaining. The Lions can play even looser than they already do. With nothing to lose, Campbell's gonna throw the kitchen sink at GB, but our old nemesis, Rodgers, will probably pull it out in the end.

But hey, after a dismal 1-6 start, most of us in Detroitland are pretty happy with the way things seem to be progressing. Can't wait for Sept. 2023.

Well, there goes my job as NFL analyst, but I'm happy to be wrong. I just wish we could've seen how deep the Lions could've gotten into the postseason. Next year!

Took a couple of boneheaded plays by the Packers but the Lions get the victory.
Happy New Year Lions fans !

Unfortunate for them that the Lions got the Seahawks early in the season. If those two teams played now I think the Lions would win w/o too much trouble.

What hurt the Lions were overlooking Carolina a few games back. That one got away and the way the Panthers ran the ball, you would think the Packers would have done the same last night but they live and die by the pass ...

I was actually pulling for the Lions to make the playoffs. They finished the season on a roll and it's been so long since they enjoyed any success. Maybe next season they won't wait until Week 8 to start playing decent ball.
