Derek Carr

So it appears that Derek Carr doesn't have much time left with the LVR. I wonder what Davante Adams thinks about that.

There are rumors he may join the Titans because of Downing, who they should let go. Would McDaniels trade Carr straight-up for the more mobile Tannehill? Willis is too young but Nashville would be ideal for a splash signing and a new stadium coming soon ...

Is Carr good? ... yes but he doesn't inspire the team around him and after a 63-79 starting record, he needs a change of scenery like Stafford went through ...

It does not help Vegas for trading him that Carr signed a three year, $120 million extension back in April.

Yeah, its doubtful the Titans take on the 40 million pricetag to obtain him. With his no-trade clause he may not want to reunite with Downing anyway, who I feel the team needs to jettison. The Raiders could either release him or try again next year because McDaniels has already gotten rid of another QB in the past--Cutler--and needs to prove he can win with someone other than Brady ...

In response to someone asking him that question, Adams said the reason he came to LV was because of Carr. Seems not pleased

Here is the thing ... what if Stidham plays well and inspires his teammates to win these next two games? Would the Raiders still get rid of Carr? Just because he is benched doesnt mean its over.
McDaniels could simply want to see if Stidham can motivate the team and whether he is worth keeping as a potential starter or backup next season ...

Stidham played pretty well, carving up the SF secondary for most of the day. Yet again we see another double-digit Raider lead lost. It's a theme this year.

The Jets need to be all over this. Cannot let another season get away due to putrid QB play. Carr I feel would be at worst...league average. That would be a huge upgrade and make a big difference in terms of W/L for the Jets in 2023

With Carr I dunno ... How good are the Jets offensive line? Good young talent in Hall and Wilson but can Davis stay healthy? Carr may need more weapons but at least he would have a better young defense ...

Based on what I saw today (Derek Carr's "farewell message" to Raiders Nation) it would appear that Derek Carr believes that his time with the Raiders is O-V-E-R. I tend to believe that the Raiders feel the same way.
