Likewise, there was more real football played in preseason football games this year than in the Pro Bowl for X number of years. And yet, you can hardly call preseason football "real football" anymore compared to preseason football of years gone by. Teams played six preseason games in the 1970s and before that, they would sometimes play exhibition games midweek between regularly scheduled games.
