RIP Dan Reeves
If Bud Grant and Marv Levy are in the HOF ... Reeves should be as well.

Given the recent trend, I imagine that Reeves will now be elected in 2023. I'm not sure what his eligibility status is for this year. If he is eligible for 2022, then it makes it even more likely.

Re: HoVG Dan Reeves Passes
IF Dan is to be considered for the Hall of Fame (and I think he is worthy of consideration, fwiw) should he be considered as a player, a coach or both?
It has been a long, long time since the totality of an individual's career has been considered for enshrinement.
It might be that Reeves falls (slightly?) short as either a player or a coach (or GM) but when looking at his dedication and contributions to the NFL a fuller, more worthy picture emerges...
What do you think?

Reeves deserves to be in based on coaching alone. He lost those SB games but took two different teams there, including going 3 out of 4 years with Denver. His credentials are the same as Grant and Levy.

Jay, you're right about consideration for the full career. I never understood why they stopped that criteria for induction?

Dan Reeves also won ten games in his first year as a head coach. I do not think many have taken over a new team and accomplished that.
Re: HoVG Dan Reeves Passes
I don't think Reeves as a player should factor in at all. He was only a regular for two seasons.
