Joe Alexander

Post by JeffreyMiller »

Joe "Doc" Alexander was the cornerstone of the Rochester Jeffersons in the early 1920s. The team was pretty bad, but Alexander still managed to be named All-Pro in 1921 and '22. In all, he posted three All-Pro seasons ('21, '22 and '26 as a member of the New York Giants). He also helped the Giants win the NFL Championship in 1927.

3 seasons with postseason honors I think is a bit light, but I could be convinced. I'd like to see Gus Sonnenberg get in first since he's considered an all-decade player by some.
