A good career, like Ken Anderson but just didnt win enough big games for the HOVG ... its close though

A decision on his HOVG worthiness is at least 25 years away. Who knows what the game will look like then. I tend to agree his qualifications probably fall short.
Having said that, Alex is one of my all-time favorite people who happened to play professional football. His personal conduct in San Francisco and Kansas City, through difficult situations, was beyond reproach (probably a better person than I am) and what he accomplished last year was nothing short of a miracle. I only wonder what his career might have been had he started in a more stable football environment.
