Cowboys archivist faces daunting challenge

Post by Evan »

Interesting article on the Cowboys' new archivist and some of the items recently unearthed. The task of organizing and digitizing seems kind of overwhelming. Would you want this job?

It is a positively fascinating opportunity and the challenge will be made much less daunting by an unlimited budget and both interest and backing by ownership. He will be able to buy any conversion equipment that is needed and utilize the most modern and efficient storage media on the market - a dream come true for any archivist. A mere glance at the photo gallery shows that Dallas has already made use of caring attention and not just tossed precious items into dusty corners.
What seems just as exciting is the objective of ownership to bring private collectors into the mix which could develop into a facility as fine as any of its kind.
Mr. Thorn has, indeed, a happy and exciting long road to retirement.

I can't help wondering if Joshua Thorn is related to John Thorn.

Fascinating opportunity is right!

My family might never see me again if I got this job. Not sure who'd be happier, me or them. 8-)

He does have three sons, but none named Joshua that I know of.

I liked that they mentioned Cliff Christl, last year's Ralph Hay Award winner, and hope this is a trend among NFL teams.
