I would vote no as well. No championships and 2 seasons with postseason honors. I'd be interested to hear the argument for anyone voting yes.

Re: Philip Rivers retired.
In 15 years as a starter, he averaged nearly 9 wins per year. His only postseason wins were in the wild card round except for one divisional win. His career in the NFL, is very similiar to Warren Moon.
P Manning
E Manning
Brees
Rothlisberger
Ryan
Rodgers
Brady
Wilson - later
Mahomes - later
Anderson
Simms
McNabb
I rank these players ahead of Rivers. Will he somehow get voted in over some of them ?

Re: Philip Rivers retired.
Rivers does well on the HOF monitor because he played for a long time, didn't get hurt, and has good stats.
I mentioned on the Rothlisberger thread that his numbers in two minute situations are bad. He was bad again in his playoff loss. Enough for me to vote no.

Robert do you think Rivers deserves to make the HOF ?

I'll put it this way Anderson has the better post season track record rivers has the stats for regular season but not a good postseason record in short no on rivers

Re: Philip Rivers retired.
To be honest, come July, Rivers may want to come back but who might get him ?
If Stafford could win a SB with the Rams, it could restart talks of HOF but he needs to win more games the rest of his career as well, in my view.

Anderson won an MVP, was the OPOY, and made an all-pro team. Also won close to 90 games.
