49ers Most yards rushing in a loss
49ers Most yards rushing in a loss
Finally did the basic research - Pro FB Reference Style, haven't exhaustively searched - but it appears that the 49ers set the record for most rushing yards in a loss. Anyone know of a bigger rushing day in a loss?

Only 10 teams (including the Niners last night) since 1940 have rushed for more than 300 yards and lost.
The quarterbacks for the other nine teams: Pete Beathard, Fran Tarkenton, Gary Marangi, George Ratterman, Jim Hardy, Tobin Rote, Mark Sanchez, Albie Riesz and Brady Quinn. With the exception of Tarkenton (Rote was a rookie when his Packers did it), it's usually happened when a weak sub is playing at QB.

I threw in "usually" in reference to other nine. Mr. Kaepernick most definitely is not in the "weak sub" category.NWebster wrote:Ha! Is that a statement about Colin???BD Sullivan wrote:Only 10 teams (including the Niners last night) since 1940 have rushed for more than 300 yards and lost.
