Re: Trivia for Today
Ha ha! Way to smoke out a trick question! It was actually the 1925 game in which they were known as the Kansas City Cowboys and they defeated the Cleveland Bulldogs 17-0.
Try this one for size. Who was the first pro football team to make the postseason with a losing record?

They played their playoff game one day before the Philadelphia Bell who also had a losing record.
Re: Trivia for Today
Off the top of my head, I'd vote for the 1965 Jacksonville Robins, who played in the Southern League championship (and lost a 48-21 nail-biter) despite a 5-6-1 record.
On the other hand, if you're including Canada, it's probably a team from up there. At one point the W.I.F.U. used to have only three teams, and it seems to me that all three made the playoffs. If that's right, then one of them just about had to have a losing record.
Just thought of a much earlier team: the 1937 Dayton Rosies of the Midwest League, who went 3-5 and then lost a first-round playoff game to Louisville, 20-0.
