I've just heard word that potentially devastating news could soon be released about the Washington football team and also potentially the nfl. Not sure what it is but word is that it will make the 'name change' seem like old news.

Also just like to post a clip from the Pat Mcafee show where he talks about it. Normally wouldn't post youtube videos but since it comes from a former player who runs an entertaining online show figured it would be ok.

'bombshell' news soon to be released
Re: 'bombshell' news soon to be released
Basically, 15 current or former female Redskins employees claim they were sexually harassed. This fell into one of two categories: being propositioned for dates, or comments about their physical appearance. Neither Dan Snyder nor Bruce Allen were directly accused of harassment.lastcat3 wrote:This just posted about fifteen minutes ago.

So... I guess Dan Snyder is not being implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal.
Re: 'bombshell' news soon to be released
I guess the 'bombshell' would have been if Mike Florio/PFT had actually reported something without hyperbole.

'Insiders' hyped it up for days and let speculation run wild. All the "I can't say anything but if what I'm hearing is true it's the biggest news ever!" type comments this week, from media. That got people guessing all these "bombshell" type possibilities, in response.
Then the news comes out and everyone is disappointed, "it's just this?"
Another fantastic job helping out the 'victims' by the media.

It was the typical, "I know something, and I want you to know I know something, but you're going to have to let your imagination run wild based on this cryptic tweet, and no matter what it turns out to be, I will say I knew it all along, though I was completely vague about it, so you will think I am an insider."
The guy at WJLA (is that channel 7?) was particularly egregious.
Rumor gets halfway around the world before truth gets its shoes on. The actual story was - obviously - very, very bad, but the things the Twitterverse came up with to fill in the gaps were just bizarre. And then some clickbait artist put all of THOSE into a story that basically said, "I'm not saying these things, these people are saying these things, and they are things!"
Such is the 21st century landscape.
