Sure, your strategy is definitely logical and I can start a few threads once we get down to finalists. But, since we usually have 2-3 of these players among the finalists every year, I think it would be a win if we could get 7-8 instead.JuggernautJ wrote:While I agree your list shows many names we've missed inducting into the Hall of the Very Good over the years I think it might be best to pick one or two names per year to focus on if we hope to muster enough votes for inclusion.
I think you (we) should choose one and stump for him by posting a mini-bio and reasons for him to get into the Hall.
I was very seriously considering nominating Peggy Parratt this year but maybe we should work off John's list (after all, it appears we already have him in our corner on those names).
Who would we consider most-electable of those named?
Most electable I think is Christensen. At a superficial level, if you put his postseason honors next to Danny Fortmann, I think it compares well. He's on the PFI list, some all-decade teams, etc.
I would say if you use a nomination on Parratt, that's great. My hope would be if anyone's planning to nominate and their 5 aren't decided, they'd take a look at this list.
