Yep. Even if McMahon is willing to fund another season I have doubts that the networks will be all that excited about televising it when it couldn't manage to sustain an audience during the first year.single wing wrote:lastcat3 wrote:Looks like the XFL will be suspending the season due to the corona virus. Chances of them coming back for a season 2 are probably slim to none.
I tend to agree with you. Have severe doubts it will come back next year,

Some of us who like it will hope it comes back. Those of us hating on it will hope it goes away.

As with all other sports during the past week, the 2020 XFL season is suspended indefinitely. If it isn't rescheduled, these were the final standings:
West Division: Houston Roughnecks (5-0), Dallas Renegades (2-3), Los Angeles Wildcats (2-3), Seattle Dragons (1-4)
East Division: DC Defenders, St. Louis BattleHawks and New York Guardians (all 3-2); Tampa Bay Vipers (1-4)

The XFL season is over.
Time will tell about the league itself.

Like JWL above and fwiw I hope they return next year.
(And that all of us are there to see it)
