John, curious what software you use to colorize the photos. Thanks.

Re: Some colorized photos
I use Photoshop for the colorizations and then use Alien Skin Exposure to simulate the films used when the pictures are taken, I usually use a Kodachome filter to brighten and deepen colors.

Alien Skin Exposure is a great name for a band.

I thought Alien Skin Exposure must be a joke until I looked it up. Nice job on the photos.JohnTurney wrote:I use Photoshop for the colorizations and then use Alien Skin Exposure to simulate the films used when the pictures are taken, I usually use a Kodachome filter to brighten and deepen colors.

I thought Alien Skin Exposure was a chain of strip joints in Greenwich Village, Provincetown, Fort Lauderdale,
and all NFL cities except Green Bay where it gets too cold to expose anything?
Every day is a revelation at this site.
OUTSTANDING John, but nothing that you haven't demonstrated before.
Maybe you will find that Thread and insert the photos thrown away in transition?

Nice work, John.
I am always surprised how seeing some of this stuff in color completely changes it for me, even the iconic B&W images I know well (like the Tittle shot). I ran across a "WWII in Color" book at a Barnes & Noble last week - so strange to see color images from that time. I have a History Channel collection of WWII in color DVDs that fascinates me (I grew up well after WWII, but seen to always have been drawn to the '30s and '40s).
