'92 Cowboys
'90 Giants
'94 Cowboys
'97 Packers

To be honest I think you could probably put a lot of the other teams all in the same pack as none of them really stand out that much from eachother.

Agreed. I'd put the 92 Cowboys head and shoulders above all the others though.

1)1992 Cowboys
2)1994 Cowboys
3)1990 Giants
4)1995 49ers (best offense and leagues 2nd best defense)
5)1993 49ers (really should've been a 12 or 13 win team. May have gotten a bit bored/sloppy at times during the year)
6)1993 Oilers (should've rolled into the Super Bowl that year)
7) 1995 Steelers

I would agree with the two Cowboy teams, G-men, and Pack being top-4; and 'the 95 Forty Niners should certainly be mentioned right after them! Having annihilated Dallas in Big D that regular season (they no longer having Deion but Dallas now having him) were the team going into those '95 playoffs I was the most-worried about the Steelers having to play (Dallas can thank GB, not Neil O, for that very title)!

And, yes, I agree there are quite a cluster of relatively 'bleh'/subpar teams. Understandable to think that they are practically interchangeable, but I feel these twenty teams offered (quite an interesting grouping, actually) is enough to warrant myself, at least, in attempting a full 1-thru-20...

1) - '92 Cowboys, well of course!
2) - '94 Cowboys
3) - '90 Giants
4) - '97 Packers
5) - '95 Forty Niners
6) - '93 Oilers
7) - '95 Steelers
8) - '96 Patriots
9) - '98 Jets
10) - '98 Falcons
11) - '93 Forty Niners
12) - '99 Buccaneers
13) - '96 Panthers
14) - '94 Chargers
15) - '91 Broncos
16) - '97 Steelers
17) - '90 Raiders
18) - '92 Dolphins
19) - '99 Colts
20) - '91 Lions

If the 49ers had held onto Ricky Watters they likely would have been even better in '95 than they were in '94. THey probably though did need all those defensive players in order to beat Dallas and the Cowboys likely still would have beaten them in '94 if the Deion signing never happened.

The power struggle between Dallas and San Francisco back during the mid '90's sure made Deion rich.

Also I think the starting lineup for the '94 Cowboys was actually more talented than the starting lineup for the '92 Cowboys. But they were starting to lose their depth and they also didn't have the motivation that the '92 team had.

I mostly agree with your filling out of the bottom. I'd definitely put the 1991 Lions last. 12-4 is usually a heavyweight contender record but to me they were that super rare 9-7 team that majorly lucked out into 12-4. They got eviscerated by Washington and San Fran that year. Gibbs and the 9ers showed them who's boss. They lost to Tampa which back then was a national embarrassment. And they lost by 10 to the Bears who were still a bigtime contender yearly but on the cusp of fading from there monsters of the midway perch (though the Lions did beat them in the second division match up) Other than that they did fatten up on bad and mediocre teams

94 Chargers I'm a bit conflicted on. I remember they were lauded back then as an AFC team that played NFC football. They outplayed Miami in the playoffs at home but still needed a late Stoyanovich miss. No business beating Pitt though, and ultimately they denied us the sexier Niners/Steelers Super Bowl

How that Super Bowl would've ultimately gone I don't know, but I can guarantee it wouldn't have been 42-10 San Fran midway through the 3rd like we had with SD

I was at the 1991 Lions season finale. (at Buffalo) That team was Barry and not much else. It's worth noting the probably don't get that #2 seed if the Bills didn't have home field wrapped up and were resting starters that game.
