Bert Rechichar, who once held the record for the longest NFL field goal (56 yards) and won two championships with the Baltimore Colts, died on Friday.

Very first NFL FG attempt, too. Such an interesting career. I loved the Facenda-narrated NFL Films segment on Rechichar.
