Former Detroit Lions who served in Military?
I was contacted by somebody in the Detroit Lions PR department asking if I knew of a resource or site listing Lions players who served in the military. Apparently somebody in the Detroit media is doing a Memorial Day piece on former Lions players who served. Any assistance would be appreciated.

In the November 2017 issue of the Coffin Corner, John Maxymuk's article - "Inducting the NFL: Military Service Interruptions of the 1950s" - is about ... well, it is in the title.
John compiled a list which includes 21 Lions who missed a combined 35 seasons between 1950 and 1959. The list is in the Coffin Corner article:
