NFL Honors "Original Towns" During 2019 Live Draft

Post by Ronfitch »

From the article:

"Eight of these communities, which are located outside of the 32 current NFL markets, will host live telecasts to announce picks on Day 3 of the 2019 NFL Draft. The hometown celebrations in these markets will showcase the town's history and include fans, NFL legends, celebrities, and elected officials.

Day 3 picks will be made live by all 32 clubs at special locations in their markets, including military bases, state landmarks, and major attractions."

Well at least it's a step up from having a chimp announce your selection.

I understand why the NFL is doing this. They've worked very hard the past 20 years to blow up the draft to massive proportions. Personally, I preferred the old Saturday morning affairs at Radio City Music Hall, the Sheraton, MSG. I think once it was at the Waldorf
