I mentioned in another thread that the son of Andy Andrew, the Giants coach in 1929 and 1930, had contacted me through my website http://www.hapmoran.org Last week he shared a photo of the 1929 Giants with me - the photo was from the one program his father saved and had his fathers notes about the players numbers - I had the photo but the notes cleared up a question about the identity of one player - the only one not identified by number - kneeling in the middle row last on the left with the mustache

Here is Coach Andrew's note:

It makes sense because many of those players came to the Giants from Detroit when Tim Mara bought the franchise to get Benny Friedman in New York - this was the information from the Oldest Living Pro Football Players website http://www.oldestliv...procrandels.htm

Horace Randels was shot and killed by Dr. L.J. Dull, a 73 year old dentist. Horace was his son-in-law. Dull planned the killing because he thought Randels was 'out to get him'.
