Thse two teams played regularly during the preseason in the Cowboys' first two decades because Dallas trained (for the most part) in Thousand Oaks.

Along those same lines. In 1960, the Cowboys and Rams played a preseason game in Pendleton, Oregon, at a rodeo stadium named the Round-Up. The game's attendance (13,000) almost matched the city's population (14,000).BD Sullivan wrote:Thse two teams played regularly during the preseason in the Cowboys' first two decades because Dallas trained (for the most part) in Thousand Oaks.

The 1964 preseason game between them had a unique uniform situation whereby the Rams were wearing their new Blue-and-White uni's that were a huge part of the George Allen era, while the Cowboys were still wearing their original uni's since they didn;t start wearing their classic white-and-silver uni's until the start of the regular season.Andrew McKillop wrote:Along those same lines. I cannot recall why I made that prediction. There was definitely a legit reason or two why I made it. I was playing in my mom's office pool that season so I was surely trying to make good picks.74_75_78_79_ wrote: Good prediction! I do remember that '92 upset, but without looking their series history up can I recall a single game between them since (other than today, of course). Back to '92, Knox was back at helm, and they weren't bad record-wise (4-6) after that win. But losing convincers the next two weeks, each at home, to SF and then Minn took air out of any hope of a rally.
Like you, I can't recall any Rams-Cowboys games since then. I'm sure if I look up the series history, I'll recall something from the recent meetings. The problem is that in the past 25 years, usually the teams have not been good at the same time.

’99, ’03, and this very year are the only seasons I see in which both made the playoffs. I did forget about last year’s meeting until looking it up just now. Week #4 at Dallas who wouldn’t make playoffs but at least finish with a winning-record of 9-7. Rams won 35-30 in a real competitive game. Dallas did most of their scoring in the first half, were up 24-16, but could only muster up 6 points (TD, failed two-pointer) from there.JWL wrote:I cannot recall why I made that prediction.
