Did Bobby Bell see game action with the Raiders during the 1976 preseason? I've seen a Packer's website with detailed preseason info, it would be great if one for the Raiders existed somewhere.

Joe Fields with Giants, 1988.
I wouldn't put Kevin Greene on this list. He had 12 sacks and started all 16 games in his final season.
Irving Fryar also had a decent final season in 2000. 41 catches for 548 yards and 5 TD's.

Good correction about Greene, conace. I should have looked closer. I remember his final stint with Carolina but don’t remember hearing all that much about him that year. In fact, I at first thought he and Reggie were bookend DEs with the Panthers. I’ll assume Reggie’s last year was uneventful. I forgot Eric Swann (his last season as well) and Sean Gilbert (final year w Raiders three years later) were also on that ’00 squad. As for Joe Fields, I guess he was 2nd-string to Bart Oates in ’88; or maybe he played some guard.conace21 wrote:74_75_78_79_ wrote:Kevin Greene & Reggie White with Carolina in ’99 & ’00 respectively.

Yes, he played in preseason...according to gamebooksL.C. Greenwood wrote:JohnTurney wrote:Bobby Bell, 1976 Raiders (preseason)

Re: Out with a whimper
Some of the guys mentioned thus far did contribute something at the end.
An example of a guy who played with a different team and did basically nothing was Herman Moore with the Giants.

Thanks, I completely missed this story, even though I definitely remember the attempted comeback by Duane Thomas with the Packers in the preseason not long after Bell's attempt. Is gamebooks accessible at the NFL website, or is there another website I should be checking?
