Are there any unofficial events scheduled for Tomorrow?
My plane lands at about 3PM and I should be checked into the hotel and ready to go by 5 or 6. Is anybody else coming in early Thursday who might want to meet up on Thursday night? For the locals, is there a recommended place to eat within short walking distance?

I'm a local, and would be glad to meet up somewhere, perhaps after dinner. I believe the hotel is right in downtown Buffalo, so there are a number of dinner options available. I know a few people are going to the Anchor Bar. I'm not a huge fan of the Anchor Bar, but it is a well-known spot as the "inventor of the chicken wing."

I think a Saturday night wing run is in the works as well. (at least according to a group message on Facebook) Probably Gabriel’s Gate or Duff’s. Although my #1 wings in Buffalo are 9-11 Tavern... so I’d lobby for them if they’re open. (they close the kitchen at random times and go on unnanounced vacations!)
My current top 5 is...
1. 9-11
2. Gabriel’s Gate
3. Anchor Bar
4. Bar Bill
5. Dwyer’s
Just because we haven’t had a list thread in awhile.

I just checked into the hotel, and there are four restaurants here, including a Salsaritas that has a bar in it, so I might head over there in an hour or so after I rest a bit. I won't be hard to spot from the cap I'll either be wearing or will be on the table.conace21 wrote:I'm a local, and would be glad to meet up somewhere, perhaps after dinner. If there is someplace better than that then just knock on my door, I'm in room 310.
