ridiculous password requirement

I don't think it is the system that is logging people out - it is how you have the preferences set on your own browser, I believe. As for the password, I have gone to a password manager because of all the hacking and new password requirements. I use dashlane - it's a bit of a pain but it creates a strong unique password for each site.
