2000s Pro Football Hall Of Fame

My hall for the 2000s. (alphabetically) Same deal as my previous decades. If the sculptor called and said “I’ve only got enough bronze for 20 busts.”

Discuss!.... or post your own. :)

Revis was great 2007-2010 . Sometimes otherworldly great to the point you couldn't complete a pass against him and teams stopped trying. However that may be too small a time frame. Revis straddles another decade so he could possibly miss out on the 10's list as well. Same with Mangold

I was never all that high on Urlacher, though he did make it to the Hall I thought he was a bit overrated. Not saying he doesn't belong on this list as he's better than that 2nd tier (Joey Porter, Bart Scott)

I think I would have found a place for Adam Vinatieri. I have been hard on him at times, but he will break the career scoring mark next season, and he won two Super Bowls with last second field goals, and there was the 45-yard FG late in regulation of the Tuck Rule game which was in my opinion (along with Summerall's long FG to win the 1958 Giants Browns snow game) the two most difficult field goals in pro football history, and he has aged remarkably well. He's certainly a first ballot Hall of Famer.

He was certainly in the running for this list! I also think he’s deserving of the Hall and think he will get in someday. Especially if he gets the career scoring record. Probably not first ballot though.

Even though I don't think he is the greatest kicker of all time, (I would probably rate him fifth or sixth best all time), I get the feeling HOF voters will make the argument that he as the greatest kicker of all time, when you consider the career scoring record, the famous field goals, and the fact that he has more Super Bowl rings than any other kicker. Gary Anderson and Morten Andersen have a combined zero Super Bowl rings, and between them, only went to one Super Bowl, and that time, it came down to the 1998 NFC Championship game, where Andersen's Falcons upset Anderson's Vikings. I think Vinatieri is overrated, but I think he goes in on the first try provided Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Ben Roethlisberger don't retire after the same season as he does.
