We are pleased to announce that we have come to an agreement with McFarland & Company Publishing for the third book in PFRA’s Great Teams in Pro Football History Series. The second book in the series- The 1958 Baltimore Colts: Profiles of the NFL's First Sudden Death Champions will be published by McFarland before the 2018 PFRA Convention in Buffalo.
The third book in the series will cover the 1951 Los Angeles Rams and will be published in 2021. 2021 will be the 70th Anniversary of the Rams 24-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns in the 1951 NFL Championship Game. The 1951 Rams included a number of future Hall of Famers: Bob Waterfield, Norm Van Brocklin, Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch, Tom Fears, Andy Robustelli, and head coach Joe Stydahar.
George Bozeka has agreed to be the lead editor for the 1951 Rams book project. The book on the 1951 Rams will be a team effort with a group of interested PFRA members writing and editing the book. We are currently seeking PFRA members that would be interested in serving as contributing authors and/or editors for the Rams book project. If you are interested in participating in the Rams book project or you have any questions about the project please contact George by email at sundaygolfer48@aol.com.

With the 100th season of the NFL coming up next year and the 100th anniversary in 2020, it would nice to see the PFRA do an expanded version of the old 1920 Bulldogs on Sunday book.

Re: PFRA 1951 Los Angeles Rams Book Project
When I heard of the Rams book and thought about 2020 and how to honor the NFL's 100th anniversary, my thought was a book consisting of a short chapter on every single championship team in NFL history from 1920 (applied retroactively from 1920-1932, not sure how that would work) to 2019, AFL and AAFC optional. I'm sure a number of different ideas will be discussed before then, and it might come up at the meeting in Buffalo.
