So somebody asked on Quora recently which position has the most enshrinees in the Hall of Fame, and the answer would seem to be running back, by a wide margin. But I got to wondering how many linebackers there are. Specifically, how do we count the two-way players who have gone in as a C/G/T, but played LB when they lined up on the other side of the ball? Mel Hein, for example, or Alex Wojciechowicz? Do they "count"? What are peoples' thoughts on this one?

Re: How many linebackers are in the Hall of Fame?
I'm not sure of the answer - the convention seems to be to count those players as the position they played on offense or just to separate out the "Pre-Modern Era".
In my opinion some good linebackers can be found in the group from that era. I believe in the 6-2 which was seen in the single-wing era, the linebackers were often the center and the fullback, so I'd include Nagurski and Hinkle along with the centers you mentioned, maybe Thorpe too - I'd put George Trafton and Bulldog Turner in there as well.
