Did the Giants trade Hostetler away immediately or did he start for awhile during the '91 season? I know he went to the Raiders in the years following but can't remember if it was as soon as Simms became healthy again or a little later than that.
No way Foles stays with the Eagles next season. I seriously doubt he is going to want to be riding the bench after what he did this season and in this day and age teams can't afford to have as much money as they have invested in Carson Wentz playing second string.
2017 Eagles = 1990 Giants?

If they trade Foles, then they will have to sign somebody else to start the season unless they think Nate Sudfeld could hold the fort. Wentz very well may not be able to play until next autumn.lastcat3 wrote:Did the Giants trade Hostetler away immediately or did he start for awhile during the '91 season? Hostetler started 12 of 16 games in 1991 and 9 of 16 in 1992. He went to the Raiders in 1993.lastcat3 wrote:Did the Giants trade Hostetler away immediately or did he start for awhile during the '91 season? Wentz is on his rookie contract. He and Foles are both scheduled to make over $7 million in 2018. As mentioned, the season will start less than 9 months after Wentz injured his knee. Foles may not want to go to the bench, but he may well open the season as the starter.
