Packers regain series advantage vs. Bears

Post by Ronfitch »

With tonight's win, Green Bay takes the lead in the Packer-Bear rivalry for the first time since 1932.

In '33 the Bears swept the Packers to take a 12-11-4 advantage and led the series for more than 80 years. In '92, the Bears were up by a 20-game margin.

Green Bay now leads the series 95-94-6.

I can remember looking at the Packer media guide (or whatever the publication was) as a kid and thinking the Packers could never possible catch up :D

Not sure what this means, if anything, looking at the Bears/Packers all time results on p-f-r I see that for 41 straight years from 1925 to 1965, game played in Green Bay came earlier in the season than the game played in Chicago.

For a series as old as this one, they haven't exactly had a ton of great/memorable games

2011 NFC Championship game was nothing special. The 2013 final game of the season was an all time classic though...Rodgers with three 4th down conversions on GB's final drive with the last one being the 4th and 8 dagger. The Bears franchise is still reeling from that
