My best guess is Saints @49ers, 11-15-87 (Young, Montana, Rice), but both QBs threw TD passes that day.

Not sure if this is what you're going for but Earl Campbell threw a TD to White Shoes against the Steelers when Stabler was their QB, which fits the criteria.

This has to be it. It was Stabler's first game as an Oiler.Not sure if this is what you're going for but Earl Campbell threw a TD to White Shoes against the Steelers when Stabler was their QB, which fits the criteria.

Two legendary college coaches from the same University face off against each other in this early season NFL game. One coach will be gone from the NFL by the end of the season, the other coach will be gone from the NFL by Week 14 of the next season. An All-American who played in college for one of the coaches also plays in this game.
