Roger Brown: Canton or Nay?

Post by Shrevedude »

Who could forget when he sacked Bart Starr seven times in one game against the Pack. Do you think he should be in the PFHOF?

Wouldn't be a bad choice (3/6/none). Closest rivals among Senior DTs are probably Alex Karras (4/4/60s), Houston Antwine (4/6/allAFL), and Tom Sestak (4/4/allAFL). Am fine with any of them getting in.

It a travesty that Warren Sapp is in and not Alex Karras. I'd be ok with Brown as well though it was a short - but admittedly high - peak. I lean somewhat against also as he had a quite poor 1963 sandwiched between great seasons, suggests that Karras drew much attention away that Brown was able to take advantage of. Brown himself only claims 6 sacks in that game, the play by play gives him 5 and there's one unaccounted for, so it could be 6, but not 7.
