I'm tired of the media created obsession with the HoF and hearing the much overused term "future hall of famer".
Also, while discussions on Hall of Fame worthiness may seem old hat to many of us it is a great way to get newcomers and dabblers more interested in the finer points of the history of our game.
Just two days ago I was talking to the plumber installing my hot water heater.
He mentioned how Art Shell was the first black head coach in the NFL. I inserted "modern" and explained a little about Fritz Pollard. By the time he was done he knew about Fritz and had a passing interest in the Akron Pros and the APFA. I even gave Marcus our web site address.
I doubt he'll ever post here but I wouldn''t be surprised if he stopped by for a read now and then.
