Where would one find annual league stat totals?

E.g., the total number of yards gained rushing in the NFL in 1985 -- not by team or player, but the league as a whole. I've tried the usual stat sites with no luck.

They recently updated their site design to make it more friendly to mobile users. I pointed out a few things to them that in turn no longer worked in a traditional view and they fixed it, but the site menu and organization is still pretty counter intuitive, to say the least.
